BABA MO MI LO: (Track 5) Of a truth shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. It is the injunction of God to all men. This track is for all women who have come to the point of their lives when they have to bid farewell to their parents and be joined to their husbands in holy matrimony. It is a traditional folk song that is widely sung among the Yoruba speaking community in Nigeria .
The track is about the bride asking for her father's blessings as she leaves for her husband's house. It is usually a passionate song that most times draws the bride to tears. Olusegunfunmi brings out the passion in the song through his own skills and also with the help of a particular tribe in Nigeria called Ilaje.
These are renowned for their skills in singing in a way and tone that softens the heart of even the hardest of hearts. Combining these two assets i.e. their skills and his, Olusegunfunmi produces a touching and heartfelt farewell song of the bride to her father. OPEN YOUR HEART: (Track 7) Olusegunfunmi, above all, remembers the great commission that the Lord Jesus gave to all believers that we should go into all the world and preach the gospel. Therefore, he invites those who have not had a personal encounter with the Saviour to come and experience the saving grace of Jesus. Our God is multi - linguist, therefore, no language is strange in His ears, moreover, he created them. (Remember the tower of Babel ). When used in praises unto Him, they all reach out to God in a sweet smelling savor.
Olusegunfunmi, through his High Praise, displays the wealth of his language, coupled with other languages from his own fatherland.
HEAVEN CAME DOWN: (Track 10 ) This is a soul inspiring hymn which Segun used to reflect back on what Christ did for us on the cross of Calvary by which we are all redeemed today.
